A true industry ‘all-rounder’, Glen Stuart is an award-winning radio personality with 15+ years in broadcasting. After some time bouncing around the country, Glen spent seven years as the voice of News & Sport for radio stations ZM, The Hits and Radio Hauraki, as well as being a regular show presenter. Right now you’ll hear his voice on News & Sport bulletins across almost the entire MediaWorks Radio Network, and as the host of regular shows on Auckland’s MoreFM.
Along with his experience in radio, Glen is no stranger to being on camera. He spent a few years hosting a live sports show for Otago’s Channel 9, has appeared in several television commercials (including an ASB shoot with the legendary Brian Blessed!), and even made it the whole way through ‘bootcamp’ on Season 1 of New Zealand’s X-Factor.
His career highlights include winning ‘Best Non-Breakfast Music Personality’ at the NZ Radio Awards, hosting several Beerable Arts Awards shows with former All Black & TV Personality Marc Ellis, MC’ing the illustrious University Blues Awards and being the voice of Carisbrook Stadium in Dunedin through many Super Rugby seasons (and a few All Blacks tests).
A born performer even before embarking on a career in radio, Glen’s earlier years featured a winning effort at the Hawke’s Bay Battle Of the Bands, coming runner-up in Rockquest Regionals, several newspaper write-ups for his stage performances and being named the winner of Napier’s ‘DJ For A Day’ competition.
Ultimately professional in the studio, Glen is a delight to direct and has an incredible work ethic. He’s a perfectionist, but not precious. Dismiss him at your peril!
